perfect base for exploring bordeaux’s charming streets and landmarks

The balcony offered a stunning view of the sunset, making our evenings special. A decent-sized bathroom featured a powerful shower with modern decor, adding a touch of comfort to our stay.
The noise from the floor above was intrusive, making it tough to sleep at times with scraping furniture and heavy footsteps. Limited storage space in the room left us with crinkle-prone items in our suitcase, which piled up on the floor. The shower controls were overly complicated, mixing up the rain shower head and adjustable head, as well as distinguishing hot and cold water. We ran into issues with the TV connection multiple times, and the promised tea supply in the reception area was never replenished adequately, making it feel like a miscommunication. Lastly, breakfast at 18 euros felt steep for what we could easily find in the nearby cafes, which we opted for instead.

the hotel was kind of nice, but expecting something specail was a bit much. we had a standard single room with an unpleasant smell when we arrived, and I had this feeling that others were recieving better service. honestly, a room upgrade would ve been expected for the trouble. almost thought about giving a good review but just couldn’t.

The hotel is in a fantastic spot, just a short walk from major attractions like the Girondins Monument and the stunning Water Mirror. I was pleasantly surprised by the room size. it was larger than what I expected for a French hotel, and the rainfall shower was a nice touch. I appreciated having tea and coffee facilities available, making it easy to enjoy a hot drink at any time. While the staff was friendly, there were moments when they seemed a bit overwhelmed and less responsive to specific inquiries, especially at check-in. Overall, it was a great place for exploring Bordeaux, and I would certainly consider another stay while visiting other HappyCulture locations.

Dining around the hotel is a culinary adventure! I loved the light salads at Bistro Montesquieu and the tasty bites at Maruya Dining Japanese, both just a hop away.
We walked into our room to an overpowering smell of cleaning products—a tad too intense! Also, there were small pieces of glass on the floor, but thankfully, we didn’t step on any. The hotel could use some TLC, yet it all still shined through.

Equal parts impressive and disappointing
The hotel boasts a fantastic location, with major shopping and attractions just a stroll away. The staff genuinely treated me like a friend, contributing to a warm atmosphere.
The thin walls allowed occasional noise interruptions, disrupting my sleep at times. Limited storage space in the room made things feel cramped.

Charming Stay with Convenient Location
Had a wonderful stay in a cozy room with a balcony offering beautiful sunset views. The staff were genuinely welcoming, and the nearby Bistro Montesquieu had delicious light salads that became our dining staple. For future guests, request a street view room for more natural light!

We had an awesome time staying here! Great location, close to shops and restaurants. The staff was super friendly. We enjoyed the lounge with table football and had fun exploring nearby cafes. The rooms, while cozy, were well-decorated and comfortable, making it a perfect spot for our getaway.
Our only downside was that the bathroom was a bit tight, making it tricky to move around. However, it didn’t take away from our overall experience.
